Haryana Vision Document
Haryana’s Vision of SDGs > Vision Document 2030
Towards this document the Government of Haryana requested UN Resident Coordinators Office to help draft the SDG VISION 2030 document for the state and UNDP State Office was established with the intent to ensure all help to the Government of Haryana.
It began a briefing workshop in July 2016, chaired by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Manohar Lal and was attended by Mr. Yuri Afanasiev, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in India and attended by 80 participants, including all Ministers of Haryana; the Chief Secretary, and all Additional Chief Secretaries of Government of Haryana; as well as representatives from various UN agencies along with representatives from other organizations working in the state. From July 2016- June 2017 UNDP undertook various steps to give the final shape to the SDG VISION 2030 document, which included
- The Landscape Analysis of the different government schemes in the state, allowing the GoH to take stock of its current state of development;
- Formation of Inter-Departmental Working Groups headed by ACS, with an objective to lead the process of preparing an SDG Vision Document 2030 for each SDG;
- Development of tools and Workbooks to facilitate easy documentation; Provisioning of UN Technical Assistance to WGs through UN Support Team;
- Coordination of more than 100 individual meetings, WG Meetings and Review Meetings and finally the Drafting of Workbooks by interpreting the information received by WGs into strategic, consistent, and comprehensive chapters which clearly and accurately articulated the GoH’s interventions and plans toward implementation of each SDG.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched ‘Vision Document 2030’ in Chandigarh on June 27, 2017 in the presence of Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu and United Nations Resident Coordinator (ai) Mr. Diego Palacios.
